Questions
How many files can I convert?
As many as you like. Each file takes a few seconds. For thousands of files, do one folder at a time and keep the browser tab open.
Do I need Publisher installed?
No. Microsoft’s own bulk-conversion script needs a licensed copy of Publisher; Pubwork doesn’t need anything but a browser.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The files are read and converted inside your browser, so they never leave your computer. This also makes it safe for school, church and business files.
What if a file can’t be read?
It is skipped and the others carry on. The list inside the .zip names every file that couldn’t be converted and why.
Which is better, PDF or Word?
PDF if you just want to keep, print or share your files: it looks exactly like the page. Word if you need to change the text later in Word. You can also keep editing them in Pubwork.
