FreeNo account, no watermark and no limit on the number of files.
FaithfulMicrosoft fonts are replaced by free fonts with the same letter widths, so lines break where they did. Anything shown differently is listed.

Questions

Can I edit a .pub file without Microsoft Publisher?

Yes. Pubwork reads the file itself, so you need neither Publisher nor a Microsoft 365 subscription.

Can I save my changes as a .pub file again?

No. The .pub format is closed, so Pubwork saves as PDF, Word, PowerPoint or pictures, or as its own Pubwork file that you can open and edit again.

What can I change?

Text and fonts, pictures, shapes, WordArt, tables, colours, page size and the order of pages. Master pages, columns and text that flows from box to box work too.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser, so the file stays on your computer.
