Terms of use
Last updated: 5 November 2026
Pubwork is a free tool for opening, editing, printing and converting Microsoft Publisher (.pub) files, and for making new documents. By using it you agree to these terms.
Your files stay yours
Everything happens in your browser. We never receive, store or claim any right to your files or what you make from them.
Templates and pictures
The templates, building blocks, pictures and icons in Pubwork are free to use for anything, including for your business, in print and online. The pictures and icons come from Fluent Emoji (Microsoft, MIT licence) and Tabler Icons (MIT licence).
Use it fairly
Use Pubwork only for files you are allowed to use. Don’t try to break, overload or misuse the website.
No guarantee
Pubwork is offered as it is, without any warranty. We work hard to show files faithfully, but some files may look different from Publisher or may not open. Please check important documents before printing or sending them. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss caused by using Pubwork.
Open source
Pubwork’s code is open source under the Mozilla Public License 2.0. It uses libmspub (MPL 2.0) to read Publisher files and free fonts under the SIL Open Font License and Apache License.
Trademarks
Microsoft and Publisher are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. Pubwork is not made by, endorsed by or connected with Microsoft.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
